You are just saying I'm not going to brag about what I here in this room. The reality of it is that only ideas that are literally worth nothing are not worth stealing. Everything else gets stolen all the time. Even things that have been protected by various means much more potent than an NDA get stolen all the time in the real world. There are lots of people with interesting ideas and no resources to develop them, just there like there are lots of folks with a lot of resources and no interesting ideas.

Re: Analytic tools for your iPhone application sales

AppFigures is great but not free :(

That's how it works on TV, especially in shows with characters that work in advertising or in commercials targeting "inventors".

Sales works the same way: find a client, pitch someone else's product, close the deal, take a commission, and repeat. That's what most people think running a company is like.

Re: Nobody is going to steal your idea

I completely agree, Davide. I have had clients call me for advice on moving forward with their "idea" but they are so afraid to share the details with me that they end up getting in their own way.

Re: Nobody is going to steal your idea

Couldn't agree more.
Another strong point is the free preview app "Seattle Clouds" for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. It can be used for testing your app vs the online simulator. Install it on your device, login with the same credentials you use on seattleclouds.com and observe directly on your device all the changes you make to your mobile app.

Re: How to build an iPhone application in 20 minutes

Sarah,
you might like to check Seattle Clouds to develop your iPhone app. Forget everyone who said that you can build an awesome app in 5-20 minutes. Well, you may do that, but your app would be worth nothing. First thing to point out here, you need to do the market research and see what apps are already there live at AppStore. Now, think what would you like to share with everyone around the world through your app, and this will be your start-up idea. You may use a online app building tool to save some time, avoiding the programming routine, and to design the app at the same time. Try using SeattleClouds.com, you may select a <a href="http://seattlecouds.com/applications.aspx>starter application template and design it further on. In addition, I would like to give you a tip, make your first app as a free of charge one for the beginning, then do the research and see how many downloads you get per day/week/month and so on. Start using iAd Network and/or AdMob. No doubts that if you spend some extra time on this, developing apps, you be able to make the paid ones then. This industry evolves with huge steps, do not miss your chance to get into it and start earning money this way.

Cheers!" rel="nofollow">

Re: How to build an iPhone application in 20 minutes

Building iPhone apps is no longer a problem even though you lack in programming skills now. There's a bunch of web based app builded tools giving almost everyone to build their own apps. I personally use SeattleClouds ( http://seattleclouds.com ) online app building tool. You may simply select a starter application template there, design its appearance, add some interactivity to your app, etc. The main problem though is how bad you want that app, and you should think thoroughly about the main idea, goal it should bring to the end user. Keep in mind that Apple keeps on rejecting simple applications, like web clippings. Thus, interactivity is what you need to think about clearly. Some tips here, you may add an interactive map if promoting your business, use push notifications, add a Facebook Fan page, a Feedback page, a RSS Feed page, etc. You'll be surprised to see what you can actually achieve if you invest some extra time in making your app. Cheers!

Re: How to build an iPhone application in 20 minutes

The ultimate guide to app making: Create iPhone Apps That Rock: A Guide for Non-Technical Folks
